Terms of Service

The minimum age to have an account is 13. The account holder who creates and manages a family must be at least 18 years old. Children under 13 do not have their own accounts; a parent or guardian manages their information.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us at privacy@hewn.family if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Hewn offers a 21-day free trial with full access — no payment required to start. After the trial, paid subscriptions are available:

• $10.00 per month, or
• $80.00 per year

Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) depending on your device. Your purchase is subject to their respective terms.

• Free trial. Your trial begins when you create your account. No payment is charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription begins automatically if you have set up a payment method in the App Store or Play Store.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through your App Store or Play Store account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the paid period.
• Refunds. Handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.
• Price changes. We will give notice of material price changes before they take effect.

You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, attempt to access systems you are not authorized to access, interfere with or reverse-engineer the App, upload harmful or infringing content, or use the App to harm or endanger any child. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You retain ownership of content you create in the App. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the App and provide its features to you and your family.

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate and personalize certain content, such as prayers and devotionals. This content is provided for spiritual encouragement only and is not a substitute for the guidance of a pastor, counselor, medical professional, or other qualified advisor.

The App presents content from a Christian perspective. Scripture quotations are from the ESV® Bible (The Holy Bible, English Standard Version®), copyright © 2001 by Crossway, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers. Used by permission. All rights reserved. You may use this content only within the App for personal and family use.

The App, excluding your content and third-party licensed content, is owned by the Company and protected by intellectual-property laws.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and provide notice within the App for material changes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
